Maxine Louise McCartney, 82 of Durand, IL passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, August 24, 2023. \n\nMaxine was born September 30, 1940 in Durand, IL to Orville and Reva (Wheeler) Keller and attended Durand High School. She married David McCartney on January 9, 1988. Maxine worked for Associated Publishers for 20 years. She was a loving, caring and giving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She had many loves, especially travel, visiting over 20 different countries. As well shopping, cooking and gardening. She enjoyed coffee with her "coffee group". \n\nShe is survived by her husband David McCartney; children Barbara (Roland) Rollie, Valerie Smith; Dave's children Colleen (Jeff) Custer and Jim (Laura) McCartney; grandchildren Amanda Gold, Dereck Rollie, Luke McCartney and Lauren McCartney; great grandchildren Brittany (Dustin) Gold; great great grandchild Easton Gold; brother Roy "Ed" (Sue) Keller; brother-in-law James "Woody" (Karen) McCartney; sister-in-law Judy Keller and many nieces, nephews and cousins. \n\nPreceded in death by parents Orville and Reva Keller and in-laws Al and Harriett McCartney, brothers Donald, Raymond and Randall Keller, sister-in-law June McCartney, son Daniel Smith and grandson Matthew Boan. \n\nA funeral ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 15585 Durand Road, Durand, IL with Pastor Eric Lemonholm officiating. Burial to be in Durand Township Cemetery, Durand, IL.
