Melba Mae Rogers, 94, Roscoe, Illinois died at 1:55 a.m., Tuesday, March 01, 2016 in Fair Oaks Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer.\r\r\n\r\r\n Born November 11, 1921 in Fennimore, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira and Muriel (Lostetter) Folyer. Graduated from Hononegah High School, Class of 1939. Married Donald W. Rogers in Fairfield, Iowa on April 6, 1940. She was employed as a school cook for Kinnikinnick and Ledgewood in the early 1970’s and then later in Rockton. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, was a former 4-H leader for almost 20 years and was active on many community, school and church committees. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include daughters Judith (Dean) Colby and Kathryn Brown (David Dickerson); son Harold Rogers; daughter Donna (Douglas) Case; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers Glen (Linda) Folyer and Clair (Ann) Folyer; sister Helen (Bob) Lunsford and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Mary Campbell and brothers Elmer and Albert.\r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 511 West Rockton, Rockton, Illinois with Reverend Scott Herbert officiating. Burial will be in Harlem Cemetery, Loves Park, Illinois. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of funeral.
