Monte Christen

Monte Christen, 82, of Rockford, Illinois passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2002 at Javon Bea Mercy Hospital. He was born on July 21, 1940 is the son of Myron W. and Ruth I. Christen.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Cook; children Kim (Don) Gipe, Robby (Crystal) Christen, Connie (Lee) Carlson, Kelly (Sheri) Cook, Grand-children: Angela (Cody) Clagg, Andrea Kloster-Espinoza, Melissa (Josh) Fransen, Heather (Steven) Watwood, Roger Christen, Ashley (Clark Green) Christen, Rebekah Christen, Karly Westphal, Hailey Westphal, Khyler Christen, Zachary (Beth) Christen, Kayla (Jordan) Thorn, Alexander Cox, Jeremy Carlson, Shannon Carlson, Sean (Ariel) Cook, Mikaela Cook, 18 great grand-children. Siblings: Larry (Kay) Christen, Nancy (Denny) Luna, Rusty (Pat) Christen, brother-in- law Terry McCornock. His canine baby Candy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Kary and Jimmy Christen, sister Susan McCornock, his first wife Sharon L. Christen.

Cremation rites were accorded.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to McCorkle Funeral Home- Pecatonica Chapel.
