Nancy Wilson, 83, of Lake Summerset, IL died at 6:50 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Swedish American Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on May 4, 1939 in Joliet, IL the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Dolores (Goodin) Buckham. After graduating high school, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Education and taught Home Economics focusing in the Culinary Arts. Nancy married David Wilson in Chicago, IL on August 29, 1959. She was active in various community organizations in Frankfort, IL in her younger years. After moving to Lake Summerset she and David were active in the Bridge Club in Rockford, IL. \n\nSurvivors include: husband David; daughters Kimberly (Joe) Hiemenz and Deanna (Kendall) McBeth; sons Joseph Wilson and Keith Wilson; grandchildren Amy (Jon) Spence; Elizabeth (Nick) Juarez; Larissa (Christopher) Barker; Kirsten (Christopher) Lenckus; Matthew (Mariam) Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Josef Hiemenz, Hans Hiemenz, Kevin Wilson, Jai Wilson, Christopher Wilson; great grandchildren Edmund "Ned", Jaxon, Jocelyn, Connor, Edgar, Landon, Cameron and Emi; sisters Barbara, Judy, Betty Jo, brother Sam, numerous nieces and nephew. \n\nPredeceased by her parents.\n\nA Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation Rites will be Accorded. McCorkle Funeral Home - Durand Chapel assisted the family.
