Ora Mae Williams, 92, of Rockton, IL died at 9:20 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Fair Oaks Nursing Home.\r\n\r\nBorn December 20, 1924 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Franklin and Ester (Townsend) Pearson. She lived her entire life in Rockton, IL. She graduated from Warren High School. Ora Mae married Wayne Clarke Williams in Old Stone Church in Rockton, IL on July 21, 1951. Together they raised three children, Ron, Don, and Laura, and Ora Mae stayed home as a homemaker and raised her family. She was co-owner of Williams Family Tree Farm. She was a member of Old Stone Church and was very active with the church, was also a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. Ora Mae enjoyed cooking, baking, doing her word searches and crossword puzzles and loved to crochet. She loved gardening and canned her jellies and vegetables. Ora Mae loved cats and chickens. She was a journalist of life and an avid reader.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include sons Ronald C. (Margaret) Williams and Donald W. (Karen) Williams; daughter Laura (Gerald) Bode,;eight grandchildren Bradley (Eli), Cory (Ashley), Tyler (Emily), Josh (Taylor) Williams, Michelle, and Brandon (Kaitlyn Myers) Williams and Jennifer and Heather Bode; great-grandchildren Terra, Reese, Harrison, Harper, Cohen, Reid, Blake and Brooklyn; brother Burge (Ella) Pearson; sister Margaret Hearden; sister-in-law Marce Pearson; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Kathleen and brother Ben Pearson.\r\n\r\nFuneral ceremonies to be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2017 at Old Stone Church, 101 East Union Street, Rockton, IL with Pastor Dan Herman of Old Stone Church and Pastor Cory Williams of Central Christian Church of Machesney Park, IL officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home –Rockton Chapel, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017.\r\n\r\nMemorials have been established to Old Stone Church, 101 E Union St, Rockton, IL 61072 and Outdoor Outreach Program, 4661 Yale Bridge Rd, Rockton, IL 61072.
