Patricia A. Brown, 89, of Rockton, IL died at 1:52 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2020 in Fair Oaks Nursing Home after a brief illness. \n\nShe was born February 22, 1931 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Rodney and Margaret (Kryder) Nelson. She graduated from Hononegah High School, Class of 1948. She married Marion D. Brown on March 4, 1950 in Shirland United Methodist Church. They were members of the Shirland United Methodist for many years. Member of Shirland Fire Department Auxillary and was the radio operator for the Fire Dept for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, playing games and puzzle books. Enjoy her coffee hour at the D'agnolo. \n\nSurvivors include daughters Cindy Butler, Kathy Galvin; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother Rodney (Janice) Nelson; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband, son Larry, daughter Beth, grandson Robert Livingston, great grandson Turner Zimmerman, sister Dawn Scott.\n\nFuneral ceremony to be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2020 in McCorkle Funeral Home- Rockton Chapel, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton with Rev. Gloria Halverson officiating. Burial will be in Shirland Cemetery. A visitation, following social distancing guidelines and requiring masks, will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of ceremony Saturday.
