Paul E. Liptak, 69, of Durand, IL, died at 11:24 a.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.\n\nHe was born January 22, 1952, in Chicago, IL, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Liptak Sr. and Margaret\n(Benne) Liptak. He graduated from St. Francis De Sales High School in 1970. Paul married Connie\nMcKenna on October 16, 1976, in Durand, IL. Life long Master Mechanic, Eagle Scout, scuba diver, and \nHarley Davidson rider. He worked for the US Postal Service for the last 20 years, retiring in January 2021.\n\nSurvivors include wife Connie; son Michael; daughter Kelsey; granddaughter Emery Mayberry; brothers George A Liptak, Jr. of Indiana and John Liptak of Florida; sister Anne Marie Carlton of Washington; future son-in-law Casey Mayberry and many nieces and nephews, coworkers, and friends.\n\nA visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at McCorkle Funeral Home - Durand Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Durand, IL. Final resting place to be at Laona\nCemetery, Durand, IL. Cremation Rites to be Accorded.
