Pauline Hodges passed away October 30, 2018 at 88 years old. Born in Arkansas in 1930, Pauline married William Hodges in 1948 and they settled in South Beloit where they raised their three children, Karen (Bruce) Barlow, Dan (Diane) Hodges and Karrie (Mike) Rosencrance. Pauline was a lifelong and devoted member of the Beloit First Assembly of God church, where for over 50 years she could be found attending every service, volunteering, driving congregants who were elderly or infirm, and most of all, talking to the many dear friends who loved being around her. Pauline stayed a southern girl at heart, and she loved nothing more than visiting her beloved mama and sisters in Arkansas. She was a much-loved grandma and great-grandma who was very involved in the lives of all the kids, even going to far as to board her first airplane at 75 years old so she could visit her granddaughter and great-grandkids in Georgia.\r\n\r\nPauline’s love of life, her joyful devotion to Jesus, her commitment to friends and family, and her calm, serene spirit will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her husband William, her dear son Dan, her parents, and 5 of her brothers and sisters.\r\n \r\nFuneral ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2018 in McCorkle Funeral Home-Rockton Chapel, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL with Pastor Dan Herman of Old Stone Church officiating. Final resting place will be in Rockton Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of ceremonies Friday.
