Peggy Cramp

Peggy Cramp, 79, of Pecatonica, IL died at 10:09 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2022 in Javon Bea Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born August 3, 1943 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. and Behrle (Manning) Meyer Sr. She graduated from Pecatonica High School class of 1963. Peggy worked for Highlander Grocery as a cook in the deli department for over 10 years; she then worked at Walmart as cook/cashier for over 20 years. Member of First Lutheran Church in Pecatonica; where she spent time as the head cook of the Meet and Eat Program. She also sang in the choir. In her younger years she was active with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren! She loved word-search books and playing games like Skip-Bo, Trouble, Racko and Sorry.

Survivors include: daughter Tina Grubb; son Michael (Marilyn) Cramp; daughter Michelle (Jude) Maurer; grandchildren Jennifer (Jerry) Mesch, Katelyn (Fiancé Mason Lehrmann) Grubb, Melissa (Tyler) Ruff, Erica (Daniel) McNabb, Jude Maurer, Wyatt (Hailey) Maurer, Bryce Maurer; great grandchildren Thalia, Kayden; sister Judy (Mern) Clark; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents, brother Thomas Meyer, sister Patricia Lupa, brother Richard Meyer and father of children George Cramp.

A memorial ceremony to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at First Lutheran Church, 627 Taylor Street, Pecatonica, IL with Reverend Nord Swanstrom officiating. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. Burial of cremains in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home-Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W.5th St. from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022. A memorial to be established.
