Raymond “Ray” Everett Laube, 91, of Durand, IL died at 10:10 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Medina Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.\r\n\r\nBorn August 9, 1927 in Durand, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett and Mildred (Wallace) Laube. Graduated from Durand High School. He married the former Pauline O. Harris in Durand, IL on October 10, 1948, she died on July 23, 2011. He was born on the family farm and farmed and lived there his entire life. He was a life-time member of the Durand United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Winnebago County Farm Bureau, AMPI, River Forest Riders and the EAA with an airstrip on the farm. He also sold Pioneer Seeds.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include daughter Carol Roskos; son Ken (Margery) Laube; daughter Barbara Lemons; son Steve (Christine) Laube; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Brenda Laube; sister Marcia (Boyd) Goelitz; brother Paul (Gladys) Laube; sister Judy (Frank) Johnson; brothers Eugene (Betty) Laube and Bruce (Diane) Laube and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four children Kathleen Riggs, Gary, Donald and Neil Laube, son-in-law Doyle Roskos and two great grandchildren. \r\n\r\nFuneral Ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Durand United Methodist Church, 102 East Main Street, Durand, IL with Interim Pastor James Ketzel officiating. Burial will be in Durand Township Cemetery, Durand, IL. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home – Durand Chapel, 101 W Main Street, Durand, IL from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 17, 2018.
