Robert Lee Kocher, Jr

Robert L. Kocher, 64, Durand, Illinois died at 1:25 a.m., Sunday, November 28, 2010 in his home after a short illness.

Born August 28, 1946 in Rochelle, Illinois the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Marion Kocher, Sr. Lived 20 years in Durand, Illinois coming here from Rockton, Illinois. Married to the former Vicki Mulvain in Durand, Illinois on February 3, 1968. He was employed as a supervisor by Taylor Freezer Company in Rockton, Illinois for 35 years. Member of Grace Independent Baptist Church in Brodhead, Wisconsin, National Rifle Association and Northwest Illinois 2 Cylinder Club. Attended Hononegah High School in Rockton, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife Vicki; son Tommy Kocher all of Durand, Illinois; grandchildren Taylor and Cassidy Kocher; brothers Richard (Claudia) Kocher, Beloit, Wisconsin, John (Patty) Kocher, Roscoe, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jeffrey.

Funeral ceremonies will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in McCorkle Funeral Home 101 Main St Durand, IL with Pastor Don Adams of Grace Independent Baptist Church officiating. Final resting place will be in Durand Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 30.
