Ronald Marshall

Ronald D. Marshall, 87, of South Beloit, IL died Thursday December 14, 2023 in Azura Memory Care after a lengthy illness. He was born on April 27, 1936 in Dupo, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Loren and Minnie (Robinson) Marshall. Ron graduated from Central High School in St. Louis, MO the class of 1955. Ron married Lucy M. Hans on October 13, 1962 in St. Louis, MO. Ron worked 45 years for McDonald Douglas Aircraft, retiring in 1996. He is a member of Hope Evangelical Free Church in Roscoe, IL where he was active in various committees. In his younger years at Church he taught Sunday school, helped with sound systems, and active with the youth groups. He was an avid hunter, loved music, enjoyed riding motorcycles, and was a member of a disc golf club, and photography club.

Survivors include wife Lucy; daughters Christine (Tim Peters) Fruhwirth, Kimberly (Mark) Collar; grandchildren Caleb (Mikaela) Collar, Marie Peters; great-grandson Aspen. Brother John (Ida) Marshall; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and four brothers.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday December 22, 2023 in McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd. with Marc McDermott officiating. Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery in Roscoe, IL.
