Ruth C. Crockett, 96, of Roscoe, Illinois died at 2:46 a.m., Friday, June 4, 2010 in Fair Oaks Nursing Home in South Beloit, IL. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born February 22, 1914 in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of Fred and Julia (Sayes) Johnson. Married to Harold K. Larson in Indiana. He died in February of 1954. She then married David W. Crockett in Roscoe, Illinois in 1956. He died in July of 2009. She was employed as a bookkeeper by Gummow Dairy for over 20 years. Member of First Congregational Church in Roscoe, Illinois and former clerk for the church. Former member of the Sunshine Club. A former May Queen in Rockford, Illinois. Graduated from Rockford High School, Class of 1931. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include sons Thomas (Sue) Larson, Madison, Wisconsin, William (Jenell) Larson, Brodhead, Wisconsin, James Larson, Roscoe, Illinoisand Stephen (Ann) Larson, Batavia, Illinois, grandchildren; Susan (Tom) Lewis, Tom Jr. (Shannon) Larson, Signe Larson, Andrea (Lance) Ripley, John (Ying) Larson, Monica, Brett, Danielle, and Julia Larson, great grandchildren; Payton and Lake Larson, Trevor and Andrew Ripley, nieces; Carolyn Crockett, Travis (Jack) Gordon, Barbara Oppasser, Carol (Bob) Zombo, Barbara (Frisk) Wright, Julie (Ray) Hartje, RuthAnn (Joe) Keenan, Jean (Mike) McKee, nephews; George (Terese) Linsky, Tom, Steve, Theresa and Lisa Terry, Patty (Paul) Cushing, Linda (James) Enscoe. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and her twin sister Georgia Linsky and sister Fredia Frisk. \r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral ceremonies to be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2010 in First Congregational Church at 3rd St. and Broad St in Roscoe, Illinois with Reverend James Jupin officiating. Burial in Roscoe Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home 767 N Blackhawk Blvd Rockton, IL from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 10. \r\r\n\r\r\n Memorials may be given to the First Congregational Church in Roscoe, IL.
