Ruth Adelaide Moth, 96, Pecatonica, IL died at 7:37 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Presence St. Anne Center, Rockford, IL after a lengthy illness.\r\n\r\nBorn May 19, 1921 in Winthrop, IA the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Edith (Roberts) Osborn. She was a life-long resident of Pecatonica, IL. Graduated from Pecatonica High School, Class of 1939. Married Robert Lee Moth in Pecatonica on July 6, 1945. She was a homemaker. Member of First Congregational Church in Pecatonica, Philathea Class of First Congregational Church and was a former “Pink Lady” at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, antiques and time spent with her grandchildren.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include son William (Luann) Moth; daughters Jane Coogan and Susan (Brian) Sandager; grandchildren Andrew (Harini) Moth, Jill Tartaglia, Sarah (Chris) Wilder, Jesse Coogan, Angela (Danny) James, Jennifer (Rick Millard) Sandager; 12 great grandchildren; sister Helen Haughton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Hal Osborn and sister Jean Livingston.\r\n\r\nFuneral ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23, 2017 in First Congregational Church, 633 Reed Street, Pecatonica, IL with Reverend Duane Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of ceremonies. Burial will be in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL. McCorkle Funeral Home-Countryman Chapel, 529 Washington Street, Pecatonica, IL assisted the family.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Congregational Church at the above address.
