Stanley Arthur Faulkner, loving father, grandfather and brother passed from this world to his heavenly home on Saturday September 24, 2011. He was born in Waukegan, IL on November 13, 1927 as the son of Chester A. and Mary Estelle (Vose) Faulkner. \r\r\n\r\r\n Married the love of his life, Patricia June Fleming on May 28, 1949. They were married for 56 years until Patricia’s death in 2005. Stan grew up on the family farm in Gurnee, IL until he move the family farm to Davis, IL in 1968 where he continued dairy farming until his retirement in the 1990’s. Stan was a true lover of the land and was always concerned about taking care of the land. He was named the Stephenson County Conservation Farm Family of the Year in 2002. \r\r\n\r\r\n He attended Faith Community Church in Davis, IL; a member of the Farm Bureau’s in Lake and Stephenson Counties; Pure Milk Association; member and delegate of AMPI; member of American Dairy Association having served on the Board; Board member of Stephenson County Soil and Water Conservation District. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include: sons martin (Diane) Faulkner of Bartonville, IL, Bradley (Holly) Faulkner of Davis, IL; daughters Georgia (Jim) Weller of Rockton, IL and Marsha (Ken) Opperman of Durand, IL; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters Jean Rudd of Savannah, Georgia and Marilyn (AL) See of Grayslake, IL. Predeceased by his parents, wife and brother Alvin. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Monroe Clinic Hospice Team for their compassion, care and support to Stan.\r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral Ceremonies to held at 11:00 am Thursday September 29, 2011 in Faith Community Church 212 West McKimmy St. Davis, IL with Pastor Bob Kolb officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery. A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home 101 Main St Durand, IL from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday and from 10:00 am until time of funeral at the church on Thursday.
