Tom E. Baney, 71, of Roscoe, IL passed away suddenly on Friday, June 23, 2017 at OSF St Anthony Hospital. \r\n\r\nHe was born February 20, 1946 in Gideon, MO, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kinith and Ella (Rogers) Baney. He lived most of this life in the Rockford, IL area. Tom married Jackie Cutsinger in Rockford on October 21, 1967. He was a self-employed construction worker. Tom was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict having served in the US Army as a SPF4. He was a member of Life Church in Roscoe, IL. He was active in the church working on several projects and assisting with the Food Pantry and almost anywhere else he was needed. He enjoyed golf and fishing. Tom was a people person, enjoying all children. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and his new first great granddaughter, Coraline.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include his wife Jackie Baney; daughters Lisa (Michael) Koch of Roscoe, IL and Char (Scott) Gipson of Belvidere, IL; son Brian (Nicole) Baney of Burleson, TX; grandchildren Jacob (US Army Corporal Makenzi Peshek) Koch, Alyssa Gipson, US Army Specialist Nathan (Abbey) Koch, Kayla Gipson, Lauren Gipson, MaKayla Baney and Blake Baney; great granddaughter Coraline Koch; sisters Joyce Vance and Diana Baney and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.\r\n\r\nFuneral Ceremonies with be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Life Church, 5910 Elevator Rd, Roscoe with Pastor Scott Gipson and Pastor Chuck Cutsinger co-officiating. There will be a public visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Cremation Rites to be accorded.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
