Tony Stockdale

Tony A. Stockdale, 62, of Durand, IL died at 7:07 a.m., Sunday, June 16, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 6, 1961 in Monroe, WI the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald and Jean (Harris) Stockdale. Tony graduated from Durand High School class of 1979.

Tony married Rhonda Shippy on September 27, 1980 in Durand, IL. Tony farmed on the family farm. He worked at Winnebago County Highway Department for many years. He also drove semi over the road and after retiring he worked ADM Grain Elevator in Seward, IL. Tony was always lending a hand to many of the local people in Durand.
Tony enjoyed fishing, tractor pulling, morel mushroom hunting, caring for the farm and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to SSM Monroe Clinic Hospital Oncology and Palliative Care Dept. staff for all their tender loving care extended to Tony.
Survivors include wife Rhonda; daughter Stacy (Jeff) Phillips, Stephanie Celletti, Sara (Alex) Tucker, Shelly (Caleb) Combs; grandchildren Keegan, Kaylee, Lailah, Levi, Adalyn, Lydia; sister Nancy (Randy) Goode; Debra (Howard) Russell; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024 in McCorkle Funeral Home - Durand Chapel, 101 Main St., Durand, IL with David Traum officiating. Burial will be in Durand Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday.
