Verdelia I. Tansor, 87 of Janesville, WI died at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Rock Haven Nursing Home in Janesville, WI. \r\n\r\nShe was born on November 18, 1931 in Albert City, IA, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George and Anna (Anderson) Anderson. She graduated from Rembrandt High School in Rembrandt, IA and Luther College in Decorah, IA. On August 24, 1952 she was married to Kenneth James Tansor at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rembrandt, IA. \r\n\r\nVerdelia and Ken served parishes in Rice Lake, WI, Fairwater, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Rockton, IL, and Philo, IL. She also was employed as a school teacher for two years and would work as a substitute. Verdelia was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Rockton, IL and First Lutheran Church of Janesville, WI.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include daughters Deborah (Brian) Tracy, Dorothy (Mark) Bush and Kristine Saey; son David (Teresa) Tansor; grandchildren Sara (Mike) Barnhart, Stephen Tracy, Mark Beachey, Matthew (Susan) Beachey, Amber (Greg) Smith, Nick (Stephanie) Bush, Kayla (Forrest) Wiltfang, Danielle Saey, Erica (Josh) Miller and Jessica Naughton and great grandchildren Isaac, Reuben, Josiah, Silas, Kali, Isaak, Gavin, Brady, Samantha, Emma, Avery and Rowen. \r\n\r\nShe is preceded in death by her husband, parents and infant sister. \r\n\r\nA memorial ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2336 Freeport Road, Rockton, IL with Pastor Hank Corcoran officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd, IL assisted the family.\r\n\r\nA memorial is being established.
