Verle Walker

Verle Marie Walker, 91, of Durand, Illinois stepped into eternity to be with our Lord at 1:15 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at home .

Born November 20, 1920 in Indiana, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James B. and Ellen Ann (Harden) Buie. Married to Albert Walker in Kansas City, Kansas on August 24, 1943 Member of Beverly Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include: sons Dennis Walker and Dan (Linda) Wallker; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and three sisters. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Northern IL Hospice for their help and loving care given to Mom.

Funeral ceremonies to be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Harrison Bible Baptist Church, 11878 Genesee St. Harrison, Illinois with Pastor Phillip Willard officiating. Burial to be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Loves Park, Illinois. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. to time of ceremony on Thursday.
