Wanda G. Teasdale, age 86 of Rockford, IL, formerly of Shirland, died peacefully May 23, 2024. She was born in Darlington, WI on November 17, 1937, the daughter of William and Gladys (McKillip) Gross. Wanda married LeRoy F. Teasdale on June 9, 1956 in Darlington, WI, he preceded her in death Saturday, January 24, 2015. She loved tending to her garden, flowers and watching and feeding birds in her yard. Survivors include: daughter Karen (Jeff) Simpson ; son John (Terri) Teasdale; daughter Paula Teasdale; sons Steven and Christopher (Chastity) Teasdale, seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Gene Gross and great granddaughter, Allison. The family would like to send a special thanks to Dee Anderson, a close family friend, for all the tender love and care given to mom. Graveside Committal Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Shirland Township Cemetery, Shirland, IL. McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton Chapel assisted the family. Memorials in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital greatly appreciated.
