William G. Sanden, Sr, 58, Lake Summerset, Illinois, died at 1:34 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011 as a result of a tractor trailer rollover accident which occurred in Joilet, IL. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born October 4, 1952 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry and Beverly (McInnes) Sanden. Married the former Debra Louise Smith in Rockford, Illinois on March 10, 1973. He was employed by CamCar for 18 years, then went to Rock Valley Truck Driving School and enjoyed his three years as a truck driver. William was a 24 year kidney transplant recipient. He received the gift of life from his loving wife Debra. He was a hardworking and loving husband and father. He was a member of the Harrison Bible Baptist Church, Harrison, Illinois. William was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed the Chicago Bears and Cubs. Graduated from East High School, Class of 1971. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include his loving wife, Debra Louise; son William G. (friend Sarah) Sanden, Jr; daughters Cindie ( Justin) White and Leslie Ann (friend Arron) Sanden; grandchildren Zoey, Zack, Samantha Patrice, Macey, Chris and Alicia; father and mother Jerry and Beverly Sanden; sister Jeri Ann (Edward) Kernz; brother Craig (Lori) Sanden; sisters Sharon (Brian) Pickett and Susan (Dan) Meldrum; cousins Jim and Scott Sanden; numerous nieces and nephews and truck driver friend Roy of Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. \r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Harrison Bible Baptist Church, 11878 Genesee Street, Harrison, Illinois with Pastor Phillip Willard, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Durand Cemetery, Durand, Illinois. McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois assisted the family. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday. \r\r\n\r\r\n The family requests artificial flowers only, as the family is highly allergic to flower pollen.
